CARING FOR ORPHANS
IN RURAL TANZANIA

Improving the life standards of rural communities with special focus to orphans and vulnerable groups!
Iringa Orphans Development Organization uses the power of education to help orphans and underprivileged children while empowering rural people to build a better future.
EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO ENDING ALL SUFFERING AND CREATING A BETTER FUTURE FOR ORPHANS AND RURAL COMMUNITIES
Every person is born with basic human needs. All children depend on parents for care and future protection. However, orphans are very vulnerable to exploitation, risky behaviors, harmful lifestyles and an uncertain future.
In communities surrounding the Ruaha wilderness where we primarily work, underprivileged children are prone to engage in poaching and other destructive activities. This alone violates the natural love between humans and nature.
We have a holistic view, and so are working to provide orphans and underprivileged children with a nurturing environment while at the same time, empowering the local communities to care for the children.
The future of our world is in the hands of our children, and the future of our children is the responsibility of us all.
That is where Iringa Orphans comes in and invites you to join the cause.
Because they are children without parental care and protecting their future is protecting the future of our world.
Education is a basic human right and doorway to other human rights. For children to succeed in life, we believe that education is the key. At IODO, supporting education of orphans and underprivileged children is our first priority.
Through community-based education we merge conservation and livelihood improvement especially for rural communities in the vicinity of Ruaha wilderness. We encourage the use of eco-friendly solar power and water harvesting techniques
The rate of orphan children in poor communities is increasing primarily due to diseases especially AIDS. We educate rural people on diseases through health outreach initiatives.
